Couples Counseling is a one day 6 CE Hours course.  This is a live face to face event.

Learning Objectives:

1.  Participants will be able to describe how to keep therapy sessions with couples emotionally safe while working with emotionally charged topics.

2.  Participants will be able to explain the inverse correlation between empathy and judgment and one way to cultivate empathy between partners while simultaneously diminishing blame and judgement.

3. Participants will be able to discuss the significance of the therapist keeping the flow of energy and information well-regulated between partners and three ways the therapist could do that in a couple’s therapy session.

4.  Participants will be able to outline 3 steps to guiding couples toward developing a shared action plan for the therapy based on the couple’s mutual vision and intentional desired outcome for their relationship.

CE Approval Information: 

Couples Therapy:  Essential Skills for Clinical Practice has been approved by NBCC for NBCC credit.  The Midwest Relationship Center, LLC is solely responsible for all aspects of the program.  NBCC Approval No. SP-3849.

CE Certificate Information:

A continuing education certificate will be handed out at the end of the event for each participant who meets the following criteria:

1.  Paid to recieve Credit Hours

2.  Signed in and out for both morning and afternoon segments on time.

3.  Completed the evaluation at the end of the training.
